update with minimal gross content
justin kindly walked home from the train in the rain last night so i wouldn't have to get up and pick him up, and he brought me two bottles of green gatorade. was there ever a better husband?
seven soilings, two tylenol, 40 oz of gatorade, a pudding cup and two saltines later, my temp is down to 97.6. but i am still incontinent. and i am down 6 lbs in the last 48 hours. and i am almost paralyzingly weak. i had to force myself to eat the pudding cup justin brought me in bed, but i just don't have the energy for it. justin has gone to the store to get more gatorade, and he handed me the computer before he left, but typing two paragraphs makes me feel like a good nap.
i told my boss this morning i'd try to come in for a half day this afternoon, but right now i don't feel confident about driving the car, and since my last bout of incontinence was about 10 minutes ago, i don't feel too confident about being able to stay at work if i got there.
and i'm terrified that if my body can barely sustain me, it's going to decide that little parasite has got to go.
i would like to be put in a coma for the next 30 weeks. they could feed me and the tadpole by iv. they could catheterize me and i wouldn't have to worry about voluntary vs. involuntary elimination. a good physical therapist could come in and exercise me every day. it seems like the way to go.

I'm shocked your OB has not sent you to the hospital yet. If this keep up you seek medical attention please!
Wishing you less poo and more healing sleep.
honestly, i haven't told my ob yet about the incontinence or the weight loss. he was kind of encouraged by the diarrhea yesterday morning, because it was a sign i was keeping something down, but it wasn't this bad then. i just don't know what they can do, other than give me fluids. i don't know what to do.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!!!
(Justin, would you please take her to the doctor?)
Let them give you fluids! Let them give you an i.v.! Let them take care of you and Tadpole!
I'm so sorry you're so sick. I had a really truly awful flu during which I found out I was pregnant - high fever, lots of squirts, vomiting, etc. It was an opportunity for weight loss before the HPT, and absolutely terrifying after.
You call those doctors. Even if you poop on them, it's worth it to make sure Tadpole is doing ok.
Ah, pregnancy.
Feel better Laura. ((hugs))
oh honey, may this ordeal pass with even more speed than the passing that has occurred as of late. sending you e-hugs, a reminder of your strength, and anti-diarrheal vibes.
Well this just sucks. I hope you start feeling better very soon. The tadpole will make it. He has to.
Laura, your own suggestion of the IV sounds like exactly what you need. Please go get hooked up immediately. This is probably way too late in the day (hopefully you've gone already), but you need a saline drip. Seriously.
And tadpole will be fine. Like all kids of any age s/he takes what s/he needs before you get your share. As much as we have learned to doubt it, they are tough little cookies:)
Thinking of you and hoping things have improved BIG TIME. (((hugs)))
Yeah, the tadpole will be fine, it will take what it needs and leave you what is left.
Talk to your OB, but don't panic. Stop weighing yourself, you have lost a lot of fluid, that's all. Keep drinking, even if you toss some of it up you'll get some hydration which is what you really need. Another thing you could try and eat is unsweetened applesauce, much better than pudding for the poops.
Hang in there!
