botanical therapy
what keeps me sane and occupied is my yard. i planted two flats of coleus and weeded everything and spread 15 bags of mulch and cleaned my porch and its ceiling and its blue adirondack chairs and washed all the windows i can reach while justin was at work sunday and monday. the more my garden grows, the giddier i get, and so the unsteadier my hand and the worse the pictures get, but i'm proud of my floral children - they're the only children i get to actively mother for now.

Your garden is beautiful, but I still see a hell of a lot of active mothering going on as far as Hans is concerned!
I just spent $200 on plants today, that was after I blew $500 on paint. Did I mention that I'm still unemployed? Yikes!
way to live large! or at least, way to live...kind of..more than..medium-sized, since we ARE talking CANADIAN dollars here.
Yeah, I'm skirting the edge of financial reason here, but what the hell! And funny you mention Canadian dollars, the funds for all this are coming out of my US savings so the price just went down by 20%. Laura, you are a miracle worker!
This morning I plant.
happy planting.
ha! i just went back and read this and realized you said PLANTS, not PANTS! i was like, hmmm, nice pants!
